Alarak is Highlord of the Tal'darim in StarCraft II: arrogant, lethal, and endlessly quotable. If Artanis is honor, Alarak is ambition wearing crimson armor.
In Legacy of the Void he bargains with Artanis against Amon, not from friendship but from cold calculation. The Chain of Ascension defines his people: power taken by challenge, weakness punished, loyalty temporary. Alarak climbs that chain and refuses to apologize for it.
His dialogue is half the fun. Alarak insults allies, mocks weakness, and somehow remains indispensable - a villainous ally who still helps save the sector on his own terms.
In co-op he is a death-ball commander: Supplicants feeding Ascendants, Destroyers, Empower Me heroics, and Structure Overcharge arrogance. Playing Alarak feels like winning while complaining that everyone else is inefficient.
He matters because Protoss culture is not one temple. Tal'darim cruelty expands the race's moral map - and Alarak is its sharpest tongue.
Queue Alarak co-op pushes and Legacy of the Void Tal'darim missions - he is power without manners.
