Egon Stetmann is the resident genius of Raynor's Raiders in StarCraft II: a researcher whose brilliance slides into glorious madness. Where Swann fixes engines, Stetmann rewires reality.
In Wings of Liberty he studies Zerg samples and alien crystals with nervous enthusiasm. Later lore strands him on Bel'Shir, where isolation and terrazine push him into the egonergy prophet fans meet in co-op - complete with Gary, the best (and worst) assistant.
Stetmann's comedy is scientific panic. He narrates experiments like a man both thrilled and doomed by his own IQ, which makes him oddly lovable.
As a co-op commander he spreads Stetzones, configures egonergy configurations, and fields mecha-Zerg inventions that should not exist. Playing Stetmann is map control through science fiction nonsense that somehow works.
He matters because StarCraft's human crew needs a wild card. Empires need soldiers; the Hyperion also needed someone who would poke the alien crystal.
Watch Stetmann co-op chaos after the Raiders campaign labs - he is curiosity with no off switch.
