Commandos Stealth Tips – Surviving Difficult Missions

Stealth is the core of the Commandos experience. Charging into enemy territory almost always ends in failure, because a few alerted guards can overwhelm your tiny squad in seconds. Patience is not optional—it is the main skill.

Start every mission by observing. Watch patrol routes, note vision cones, and identify which enemies are isolated. The map is a puzzle: once you understand movement patterns, safe openings appear that were invisible at first glance.

Use distractions deliberately. Thrown objects, noise, and character abilities can pull guards away from doors, bridges, or objective zones. The goal is not random chaos; it is creating a controlled gap large enough for a silent takedown or a safe crossing.

Body management matters as much as the kill itself. A visible body can ruin an otherwise perfect plan. Hide enemies quickly, clear high-traffic paths, and think about what the next patrol will see when it returns.

Combine specialist skills instead of forcing one commando to solve everything. A sniper, green beret, or sapper may each handle one piece of the route. The best plans feel like choreography: one action sets up the next.

Save often, especially before risky moves. Commandos rewards experimentation. Trying a bold distraction or an alternate route is much less painful when you can reload and refine the idea.

If a mission feels impossible, slow down. Re-scout, reduce noise, and remove one threat at a time. In Commandos, surviving difficult missions usually means thinking quieter—not moving faster.
